Meet Mohammad Suliman, the Copy and Content Lead from Kuwait, now living it up in Düsseldorf, Germany. Back in 2012, he snagged a BA in Journalism from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and came this close to a BA in Creative Writing—until his scholarship ran out and he had to hightail it back home.
Once he shook off the post-grad blues, Mohammad dove into the wild world of advertising. Realizing journalism in Kuwait wasn't his jam, he lucked into a gig at the top ad agency in town, Impact & Echo BBDO. Just three months in, Mohammad was the lone English writer, juggling roles left by a senior copywriter on maternity leave and a PR writer who'd been let go. With briefs and pitches flying his way, Mohammad crushed it across a range of industries, from automotive to food and beverage, mastering brand communication and tone of voice.
After three years, Mohammad was ready for a bigger challenge. He set his sights on Dubai and landed a spot at Impact BBDO Abu Dhabi, primarily working on Etisalat, UAE’s telecom giant. Not long after, GTB scooped him up as a senior bilingual copywriter for Ford and Lincoln. His stellar work led to five successful campaigns and a shortlist spot at Dubai Lynx 2019.
Following a productive stint at Leo Burnett MENA, Mohammad switched gears to the client side at Expo 2020 Dubai. As the head creative writer and assistant marketing manager for the Expo School Programme, he crafted speeches, presentations, emailers, and website content. He also worked with third-party agencies on fun social media content and engaged with educators and students about Expo 2020 Dubai.
Even a global pandemic couldn't slow him down. Mohammad packed up and moved to Germany, landing a dream job at trivago as one of the two in-house brand copywriters. In no time, he revamped trivago's tone of voice and social media content, becoming a key creative force. From TVC ideation to brand outreach and managing third-party trans-creators and writers, Mohammad channels his expertise daily across various brand pillars.
